UNIVERSITY COUNCIL

The University Council is charged with the duty of governing the University according to the University Charter and chart the strategic direction of the University.

The University Council main responsibilities are determining the vision, mission, objectives, goals, strategies and policies that guide the operations of the University that is effective and efficient in empowering young men and women to transform their respective communities.

The University Council approves policies that ensure admission of good quality students, recruitment of suitable university staff, disciplinary conduct of students and staff, high academic standards, prudent financial practices and institutional sustainability.

The University Council shall have the following Boards:

  • Finance, Planning and Development Board

  • Welfare and Disciplinary Board

  • Appointments Board
